Nothing good ever came from structuring programs using real world concerns :) Garbage collection may be elegant semantically, but it makes users pay a significant cost for a small programmer convenience.

a) have user observable pauses, b) using 4x the memory you actually need, c) be significantly slower / burn more battery than the equivalent non-GC language -- pick at least 2.
