A while ago, someone noticed many Epic folks weren’t verified on Twitter, and offered to introduce us to a friend at Twitter who grants blue checks. I told them to fuck off, because so long as Twitter verification is tied to favors and cronyism, I didn’t want to be a part. @jack

Twitter says “An account may be verified if it is determined to be an account of public interest”. The reality, though, is you need to have a friend at Twitter or do favors for Twitter, and not say things that displease them. This is why Twitter sucks.

Both groups have the right to live their lives as they choose, and to speak about the merits or morality of the topic, and neither has a "right to not be offended" by the other's contrary opinions.
