A while ago, someone noticed many Epic folks weren’t verified on Twitter, and offered to introduce us to a friend at Twitter who grants blue checks. I told them to fuck off, because so long as Twitter verification is tied to favors and cronyism, I didn’t want to be a part. @jack

They also take away previously granted verification marks from people they don't like, even when there is no question about their identity. On the flip side, I have seen verified accounts with less than 100 followers.

And then you have situations like
@Marc_IRL (of Mojang) who got banned for impersonating *himself* because somebody else managed to get verified using his identity. And then after appealing it with ID he was told it was permanent. Evidently not, because public outcry fixed it.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
