I don’t get this take. Modules are sorely needed but also hard. Just being the former doesn’t mean there is a good solution only +1 years away... maybe you just want resolution on this to be more of the focus?

Maybe it's a sign of an deeper problem that modules are so hard to shoehorn into C++. Sometimes I want a small, rebooted, incompatible C++ 2.0 that provides simple interop with 'traditional C++' APIs without having to go through a C API layer.
