re: Valve's stance on content & moderation. I don't want/need Valve to babysit or filter or censor for me. As a customer I want access to more games & more choices. Good on Valve.https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2018/06/valve-we-want-to-allow-everything-on-steam-including-something-that-you-hate/ …

If
@steam_games wants to shirk their basic responsibility to maintain the quality of their storefront, that every other digital storefront does, they need to reduce their 30% cut accordingly. That fee is ostensibly not only for hosting, but for maintaining the storefront.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

The fee is for more than maintaining the store. Platform services are included like SteamPipe, workshop, community hubs, matchmaking, friends, etc. You'd be hard pressed to get those services of that quality in other places.

What if you went to a retail store, and beyond a row of popular content, there were just bins of quality products intermixed with literal dog turds? That's effectively what
@steam_games is doing.2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes
