Why not move `auto` inside the macro? Oh and you may need `[&]` for any real usage :) More importantly, this shows how to put statements inside an expression in C++, which is useful in more general ways.

Doing it this way (typing auto yourself) allows you to have multiple declarations: let(auto x = 5; auto y = 2) in(x * y) Works for me at least ;-)

I imagine you'll need to pass reference [&] into the lambda scope to get proper use out of it, but it's a nice macro to make some c++ functional programming more readable!
