Beneficial ownership transparency (BOT) is important to build trust and confidence in the integrity of extractive industries, and indeed a country’s entire economy.

Transparency of #publicprocurement will reduce corruption and mismanagement. The reconstruction management tool will be open-by-design from project prioritization to implementation.

raises an important point about the use of investment funds to circumvent #BeneficialOwnership regimes. Any regime is only as robust as the weakest link. #CSABOT Perhaps Micael could post below a link to the article he referenced?

making a strong case for use of #BeneficialOwnership data for public procurement, and how Slovakia’s law shifts the burden of proof which gives the BO regime quality data and the ability to tackle crime. #CSABOT

Good to hear private sector use of #BeneficialOwnership in Latvia being key. Really important to always include private sector businesses when talking about “all users”. SMEs are the biggest users of the UK public register. #CSABOT
