twitter 2008-2013: the golden years! great! everything was wonderful and we all had fun! utopia!
twitter 2014-2015: still fun, still good, but a little less so, bad omens rising
twitter 2016-now: utterly awful, poisonous, genuinely detrimental to society

i mean like okay let's be realistic, this website as a ~thing~ will surely continue to exist, but it feels less and less likely to be the thing that hooked all of us, stupid as it is.
it's very sad! but, also, if we're honest, very good too

Strudel, the greatest cat who ever lived, passed this weekend. Things happened very quickly and she didn’t suffer. But she knew how Twitter famous she was, and she would want you all to know (and to admire these pics while she acts like she doesn’t care) ❤️❤️❤️

extremely niche tweet incoming but: michael is absolutely, literally unstoppable, and it’s not even close. he just decides he wants to win a comp and that’s the end of it, just call the season right now tbh
anyway my advice to aspiring newsletter-writers is have one post that goes viral and just coast off subscriptions from it for a year anyway all that and more expert advice in this workshop about building a successful newsletter lol

We're always open to pitches and pay .50/word. Read more information at texasobserver.org/pitch/
Very interested in Texas disability rights stories, but also in hearing from disabled writers w/ pitches on any topics, from politics to culture.
