You are an ignorant liar. It isn't that easy, and most folks who get assistance today that can work are working. Fascist ass clowns apparently want to drag old folks and children from their homes. Screw them, and you if you agree with them.

It's easy for some people. It's not easy for others. There is a trade-off. Is the goal to make it easier to access to capture the vulnerable, at the cost of a few "lazy" people? Or Is the goal to make it cumbersome even if there is a sacrifice of the vulnerable?

Do you think the person who wrote the article could have worked on a farm or in infrastructure? He had a fairly severe undiagnosed disability, many adults do and it is incredibly hard for them to survive, usually through no fault of their own.

I would guess at least half the time I am a lawyer of the day I run across one person in court that has some sort of undiagnosed disability that can easily lead to a criminal record, making survival harder. It can be cognitive impairment, mental illness, trauma, physical, etc.

We are failing the vulnerable, which is both inhumane and a taxpayer burden. Jails are expensive, doesn't fit most solutions. Providing services for those with capacity issues, and perhaps developing better services to help with societal supports is the way we should be headed.

It's not necessarily an expansion of government, it's a refocusing of $ to the preventative and truly enabling people who can participate in society to do so. Wouldn't you rather pay more in prevention and support and less in consequence management?

We also really need to have a better eye for capacity. We have some massive cracks in our safety net that are people who are not lazy, it's literally capacity or structural issues.

The problem is the mechanisms being used seem pretty likely to disproportionately hurt the vulnerable. There must be a better way to handle the spectrum of capacity.
