Matt and I do not agree on all policy. He knows I'm honest and likes that I won't take money. I think a wall is an ineffective use of money and the lens we are looking at immigration through is wrong. You probably picked the 2 topics we agree least on. #mepolitics

I don't think I've been particularly shy on how I feel about separating families. Probably 1/3 of my clients are Trump supporters and that group is certainly represented in campaign supporters too...but it's not because we agree on every policy. #mepolitics

They like me for the same reason many liberals do. I'm humane. I care. I seek outcomes that benefit many people without sacrificing vulnerable. I don't try to change them. I try to speak their language in a way that helps them find benefit without being dishonest. #mepolitics

Those who lean right know I am more left than they are, as do those on the left know I am probably a bit to their right. I don't hide either and I try to generally be respectful of the differences. There are a lot of areas we agree on though. #mepolitics

People can also like the same policy for different reasons. For example, someone on may prefer decriminalization of drinking in public and providing services instead because it's humane. Someone else may like it because it saves taxpayer $. #mepolitics
