People can also like the same policy for different reasons. For example, someone on may prefer decriminalization of drinking in public and providing services instead because it's humane. Someone else may like it because it saves taxpayer $.

One person may want single payer/universal. The other may want affordable healthcare and really only care if it costs less, not who administers it while really disliking what we have now.
Those are not mutually exclusive positions.

I don't think you'll agree with me on this, but I'm happy to have supporters from a spectrum. It doesn't mean I agree with them, it means they agree with me a good chunk of the time. Any person in a leadership position will have supporters that don't fully align.

No one will agree on every single issue...but maybe if we can have a handful of folks who we can agree are reasonable, thoughful, and balanced, knowing we won't agree on everything, that's a start.
