They like me for the same reason many liberals do. I'm humane. I care. I seek outcomes that benefit many people without sacrificing vulnerable. I don't try to change them. I try to speak their language in a way that helps them find benefit without being dishonest.

Those who lean right know I am more left than they are, as do those on the left know I am probably a bit to their right. I don't hide either and I try to generally be respectful of the differences.
There are a lot of areas we agree on though.

People can also like the same policy for different reasons. For example, someone on may prefer decriminalization of drinking in public and providing services instead because it's humane. Someone else may like it because it saves taxpayer $.

One person may want single payer/universal. The other may want affordable healthcare and really only care if it costs less, not who administers it while really disliking what we have now. Those are not mutually exclusive positions.
