And there is the one-person/small biz owner that can juggle both A few former legislators come to mind I would like to see the numbers but my guess is more than 66% are aged over 65

A lot of those business owners I know have had substantial savings to subsidize their legislative salaries.

People keep asking why I am not running for state. Aside from simply enjoying federal law more, the time requirements for the pay would make me a bad legislator, a bad attorney, and/or unable to support my family.
