1. I will be honest with you and tell you that this is probably not a question for federal law, so I will vote for people I think will be prudent, except... 2. it probably is something the AG's office should take up (an executive branch, not a legislative branch question).
In other words this is a state or lower level enforcement/policy issue that should be reinforced by the US AG's office for errant departments with civil liberties violations.
