Non partisan sounds good... except you face a world of the GOP. 1: Trump, Bush-Cheney, and Nixon. 2: there is the fact you need some kind of way of whittling down the field to 2-3 people. Look at the Lewiston/Maine elections chaos and some GOP nut gets it.

We're headed to ranked choice voting. If people really want a change under that system, the have the freedom to vote for me, and then vote for a party candidate as a back up.

GOP needs to keep their sticky fingers off the Medicare/Medicaid and Social Security taxes we pay. Those are separate from general federal taxes we pay and they need to be left alone (and be paid back!!)

I'm beginning to think that our partisan way of politics is antiquated, limited and forces us into a place of constant infighting. If we remove partisan politics from the equation it might open our thinking in broad ways, give us opportunities to think in new terms.
