The “support or else“ mentality discourages any type of personal choice or opinion. To have one person’s potentially biased opinion replace your own is troubling on its face. /2

Having a choice forced on you by allowing another’s opinion to supersede your own means more viable candidates do not receive the support they deserve. Do not rely on someone else to make your choices for you. /3

We need to look not just at the candidates stance but also their potential constituents. They are the ones who will determine who would best represent them. Some races will not flip blue no matter what because of region and/or mindset. /4

To put all our eggs in a blue basket instead of looking at independent options could mean a loss to GOP. To those disillusioned with the GOP but not willing to vote Democrat, Independents can be a viable choice. /5

We are trying to take this country in a direction that will benefit all of us. Whatever choice you make in who you support is up to you. But in that same token do not to bully or attack others for supporting a different candidate. /6

Additionally do not publicly challenge and criticize other candidates. If you support a candidate and see them being attacked STAND UP for them! You can defend your choice without attacking their opponents. /7

Attacking candidates running against your choice reflects poorly on your chosen candidate and the resistance as a whole. That type of behavior can leave a bad taste in voters mouths. We want the voters engaged not turned off and tuned out because of rhetoric and vitriol. /8

That is what helped kill us in 2016. Voter apathy and anger kept people home and now we are living with the consequences of that. We have freedom of choice. Do not give up your freedom to choose what and who you believe in. Do your own research. /9

Do not let someone else decide who is best to represent you. This is our democracy and we need to take it back. We may support different candidates but we all want the same outcome. GOP must be voted out. Democrat and Independent achieve that goal. Stop the division! /end

I agree with almost everything you said here. In local & state races, Dem & Independent candidates can compete effectively. However, in the General Election, votes cast to 3rd party candidates diminish the majority tally as the odds of a win are nil, thus they're "spoilers".

There are some places where an Independent is a totally viable option...say, Maine. We have a very popular Independent Senator.

Agreed; see my tweet, where I state "in local & state elections, Dems & Independents compete effectively. However, in the General Election, 3rd Party votes detract from the majority and act as "spoilers". This is both math & fact.
