I don't presume to know everyone's style. My style would be to ask them to coffee, ask questions, politely challenge their assertions, and offer alternatives.

Hi, Tiffany - while I agree that differing opinions don’t make mortal enemies, sleight of hand with the truth needs to be countermanded.

So perhaps a polite correction? I'm not a democrat, so I feel awkward stating "hey, I don't hate you or want you dead, so it's not appropriate to make such a broad, untrue statement." Putting everyone on ignore just perpetuates the problem.

@maineammoco, please don't play into the divisiveness the@NRA promotes. I have many conservative friends, many are gun owners and hunters.
