I haven't seen the police reports, and police reports are not always accurate, to know what went down at those visits. I do know officers often end up in places where no one will cooperate and it is very difficult to proceed.

What would help? Better budget for DHHS, free and ample after school care, respite options for poor families, expanded mental health help, expanded medical access in general, home health visits, more counselors in school...I can keep going, but you get the picture.

It's really difficult to get budgets for these types of programs. The data is lagging and usually many years out.
