I'm not sold on the idea of weapons at school. However, I think it's a far more reasonable conversation to talk about a well-trained principal having a secured weapon in their office should the community so-decide than randomly arming teachers. I'd listen to that argument.

How times have changed. 42 years ago, we brought our shotguns to school during bird season & rifles during deer season. A friend says he & his buddies hunted on foot on way to school, then left their guns & ammo with the principal for the day. We both had gun training at school.
