The only reason I can come up with that someone would want teachers armed in classrooms is that they haven't parented a child. Have you met a child? Children get into everything Children are sneaky Children will push you to a point where pointing a weapon at them is tempting

Even if we have the most responsible, best trained, safety-focused teachers possible. Concealed carry when supervising 10-30+ children while focused on teaching is a recipe for disaster.

I would not point any gun that was not nerf, squirt, or potato plug at my child (if nerf, squirt, or potato plug...game on). I have absolutely been in the classroom of teachers that should not have access to firearms and children simultaneously.

One of my middle school teachers had a nervous breakdown in front of my class. A student had to go and get help because she was screaming nonsense at us and we were all terrified. I was in sixth grade. I keep thinking about what could have happened if she had been armed.
