3. I think you are asking the wrong question on immigration. As long as the US is a place we want to live, it will probably be a place others want to come to. We need to fix the way we handle legal immigration, where it is definitely broken. Otherwise we are playing whack-a-mole.

The way we handle whether or not someone is "able-bodied" in a legal context leaves a tremendous amount of not capable people "able-bodied". If you are looking from a conservative lens, it wastes money.

It wastes resources focusing on work requirements that could otherwise be spent getting people to work, if they can. We also end up paying more in emergency medical, policing and jails. Let's spend less money and be humane.

5. I support tax efficiency. I don't particularly care what % are at each level, I care what gets us all the most in an equitable way. There are more variables than cut or don't cut. At the end of the day I care if you have more of the fruits of your labor overall.
