3. Using 10-20x the salary to get a 2 year, renewable job that needs the same 10-20x the salary to keep and does not guarantee success probably means you should not be doing that job, voting on budgets, etc. and that you cannot possibly have time to be doing the job.
If we want our legislators to focus on the law, they need the time, skill, & talent to do THAT, not perpetually raise campaign money. Imagine having a rep who does what they are supposed to - works on laws, stays connected to their family & community. That is how you get good law
Couldn't agree more and that's exactly what I find so refreshing about your campaign. Lots of people have diagnosed the problem but you're actually test-running a model for fixing the problem via a different kind of campaigning.
If you aren't the client, you are the product. Let's make us *not* the product.
Demand better.
Pay attention to who only wants the paycheck, has the skill, and wants a job with work/life balance.
Reward that person with votes, energy and campaign support.
