I don't think being feminist is incompatible with moderate, rather they *should* be pretty much the same thing. I enjoy radicalism, provided it's not violent. Bold statements highlight issues and draw attention to the disenfranchised.

I think the law should be deliberative, measured, and well vetted from a range of perspectives, which can be easier to do if you have a few moderates in the mix to avoid pissing contests.

I don't see a moderate perspective as meek. Bold legislation can come from moderates - I see it as a balanced and measured perspective from which to create law. We should be very critical of our laws and examine the impact of each law as thoroughly as is practical.
