I generally have no issues with guns. I have issues with weapons, particularly heavy assault weapons, that get into the hands of domestic violence perpetrators & the mentally ill. I work in family law & have seen way too many be constantly threatened and in a state of fear.
For example, we're doing a real disservice to healthcare right now. There are pain points that both major parties agree on. I'm going to focus on the GOP because they are in the driver's seat. I had some pretty brutal opinions on the dems previously.

Well the past 8 years ive had to pay the 1500 fine because i didnt have the healthcare plan i tried to get one i didnt qualify made too much money but my employers plan would have cost me most of my weekly pay just to insure me and my family who wins there?

Absolutely. I had insurance through the ACA last year and I didn't go to the doctor when I should have because the deductible was too high. My insurance was so bad, I should have chosen not to have insurance. I was paying nearly $900/mo and it covered nothing.

Actively undermining the ACA (which is deeply flawed legislation) to cause its failure is a bad policy choice. It costs everyone more to do that. So does ignoring CHIP if we're playing whack-a-mole. We should be looking at the pain points.
