I just heard a snippet of @SenatorCollins on @NPR saying we need mental health services...it would be freaking super if our budget, the recently passed tax bill, or support of current healthcare law and reforms reflected that value statement.

We certainly can't cont. to rely solely on federal Medicare money. We are headed for major crisis in disability, mental health and ageing health care (and staffing) here
Oh gosh, I could tell so many stories from criminal law where we could be reallocating resources for better outcomes. We've fallen into a space where we "have" to fund the jails, and the other issues are seen as "optional" because they aren't criminal.
