I don't take any $ because I am going to be working for a paycheck. There should be no question where my salary originates. I have a job to do, compensated fairly. Fundraising every 2 years takes time from that job and prevents it being done properly.
I focus more on process and transparency than specific issues because if you send a reasonable, moderate person to do the job properly, they will give you a reasonable, moderate outcome. We have been sending people who don't know how to read a bill - that is our biggest problem.
