      I think it's pretty likely we will be on single payer or universal at some point in my life, so to me the question is what is a way to get there that is functional and what does the end system, and politically viable transition(s) look like? #mepolitics

      I think there is a lot more to discuss for a good foundation...like what structure to use? How centralized? Are we focused on treatment or prevention? How broad are programs? What level of community involvement? Do we change how we license and who can do what? Etc. #mepolitics

      And I think that's probably a better place to start the conversation. A critical evaluation of systems with some information as to how they might scale with our government structure. I don't know the answer to which system. I don't have enough information yet. #mepolitics
