I'm not trying to be contrary. There is a large swath of people not being captured in the polling. There was a time in the not too distant past when many lived in the world of 'meh' when it came to politics...that world is still there for a huge amount of people.

If you are in that world, you see all the protests, think that you got some extra $ back and your healthcare hasn't really changed much, that the GOP "tried" to fix healthcare but the dems wouldn't even talk about it and all politics is done by screwed up corrupt people anyway.

I'm not saying objectively that is what has happened, it's what has happened for them. Those folks are not getting the message that the government is changing in an unusual way, this is a time to pay attention and to participate. They do vote.

But the way info is coming at them is wasted because it's in a way that they don't hear it.
