      I think the SALT issue is going to hurt them most. It’s the one thing I’ve heard my lean GOP friends grouse most about. Specifically when they also upped the estate tax threshold. One told me last night, that’s double taxation but SALT isn’t?

      Most of the tax pain will not be until after the fall election. Before the fall election, many people will likely see a drop in their withholdings. Lots of people don't like it, me included, but I don't know if that will translate to election impact. #mepolitics

      People generally don’t notice modest changes in withholding, especially since other things also change - hours, benefits. #mepolitics

      If people paid by direct deposit, to see withholding, have to find electronic image of pay stub, compare to past ones. Meanwhile, more than tax changed.

      I know that and you know that. I am also all about grass roots, but the dems have a long history of underestimating their opponent's advantage and losing by less than last time. The voters are mercurial and disenchanted, which is a heck of a combination. #mepolitics
