Every bill will have winners and losers. This bill hits folks who are transitional particularly hard. There are breaks in there that should not be and hits where there should not be. Too many to cover by tweet. It also will have a lot of unintended consequences.

Even bigger, and this is what a lot of the analysts are picking up, is the services that are going to have to be adjusted to handle the debt and the impact to the healthcare market. The burden is placed on those with the lowest capacity to manage it.

I don't know the answer to that Tag. My guess is that there may be some short-term benefit to many, but the financial consequences to healthcare, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid will greatly and negatively outweigh any benefits for a vast majority of Mainers.

I haven't made it through the more than 1,000 pages yet, so I don't have a full argument for you Tag. Which page are you on?

I haven't made it all the way through. That's why I made a guess at the impact of the whole bill (vs. statement of fact). I have read several sections of it. I can certainly discuss the impact of things like the alimony taxation shift, which I have read.
