That’s a much different conversation. My father was self employed, we never had insurance. He paid for every visit or stay out of his own pocket. The drain on the system is not those without insurance.
That's anecdotal. I paid for my cost directly too for a good chunk of my 20s. There are many people who do not cover themselves and that is a valid point for the liberal side. The only progress to be made acknowledges any valid substantive points.
