1. It's a badly written bill. Please, read both the House and Senate versions.
2. Mainers are not ever disgusting for peaceful protest, regardless of party. It's a constitutional right.

Is it written better or worse than the ACA was? It is disgusting for people who are only sheep protest in front of someone’s home.

Having read both, it is worse. I find the ACA to be a deeply flawed bill as well. It needs improvement. I was incredibly disappointed in the GOP replacement. After 7 years you'd think a thoughful, well written bill would have been presented as an alternative, but not.

I am a self employed mainer family of five. The ACA has been our best insurance ever. Lowest cost and deductible. From what I learned about the tax reform. I loose huge deductions and my tax will go up around 5 to 7k

The ACA has been horrible for me and my family. BUT, I also realize it has been a help to a great many and the best path forward is to improve it, not hurl a grenade at it.

By improve you mean Single payer? Because that’s where they want it to take it. It only helps those who are subsidized by things like the mandate. Removing it is hardly a grenade.

I don't know that single payer is where we are headed, it might be. As someone who is fiscally efficient, if there is a way to do it that drastically reduces costs - I certainly want to investigate it, don't you?

The mandate and risk pool expansion are in great part what make the ACA function. The subsidies are what make it affordable. I'm not super keen on shifting the cost burden to my household, but that's rather what insurance does.

We also should not be attacking a healthcare system through a tax bill. The tax bill try to bite at a lot of stuff they shouldn't. Plus there are a ton of consequences in that bill that were either not considered, not read, or some legislators are bad.

The SC ruled that the mandate was exactly that, a tax. Where better to address it than a tax reform bill?

It's more complicated than that. The healthcare system needs to be looked at as a whole, not underfunded and back-doored.
