Reading #mepolitics this morning, one thing is clear: liberals love high taxes and a lot of different taxes.

...or it's a bad bill. No beef with the wealthy. I don't love taxes. But a tax code overhaul should be an improvement. This one isn't. Write better law & you will get bipartisan support. #mepolitics

I think that would very much depend on structure. I haven't ever been a Democrat, so I certainly cannot speak for the party. However, there are often ways to achieve seemingly opposite goals when you value priorities/outcomes over semantics or teams. #mepolitics

I admire your positive outlook, it's just that the division is so deep and political, I don't believe Dems will vote for tax cuts in any form if a GOP President can sign it. #mepolitics

Throw a few nonpartisans in the mix. It's easier to agree with people who aren't the opposition. If a bill achieves goals, does it really matter who signs it? #mepolitics
