Can we agree the the mortgage interest deduction along with higher standard deduction does NOTHING for people who can't afford 350K home?

Very little in this bill does anything for those who can't afford a $350k home.

I'm not shocked. I'd love to see a balanced budget instead of this smoke and mirrors tax "cut".

I'd like to see us look at data for where we really can find efficiencies and a more functional budget - a holistic budget. #mepolitics

For example, if we provide better support for chronic low-level offenders, would that bring our jail costs down the same $? #mepolitics

Specifically in Maine - where we have such a need for public works (bridges!) - a work program may serve us all better - including offenders

We'd save a ton just by designating a place where those who are indigent could drink.

That's an interesting opinion. I'm not so sure our jails are filled with public intoxication offenders, though?
