I don't think we are in disagreement that the entire budget could use a healthy overhaul, merely pointing out that option needs trade-off

My wife gets to deduct $250 for money she spends on classroom supplies That saves us maybe $15 off our taxes For teacher w/o mortgage they probably don't itemize Why not make it a credit?
