Me what is wrong with this idea so I can improve it. Open up Mainecare to all Mainers. Here's how I *think* it will work. /2 #mepolitics

1. Drop any work/volunteer requirements. (We can go on a tangent later as to why I think the benefits outweigh detriments) /3 #mepolitics

2. Allow those on ACA to buy-in to MaineCare. Take the marketplace premium, and pay that to MaineCare instead. /4 #mepolitics

These rates, with whatever federal reimbursements are "profitable" - use that "profit" to remove deductibles, cover more /5 #mepolitics

Low income, and increase payments to providers (probably in that order). /6 #mepolitics

3. Businesses could also buy-in using the same methodology as consumers. /7 #mepolitics
