      You are wrong, but disinterested in evaluating nuance. For example, I regularly say I think we need to make sure we are legislating at the right level - some things make sense federal level, some state, some local - and those things can change over time. That's not "more".

      Same with taxes. The measure isn't more or less for me, it's what are our needs, what is the net gain/loss, does it reduce our deficit, and how does the decision impact us both short and long range. Some years we may need to pay more taxes, some years it is irresponsible to.

      Frankly, looking at taxes purely as more or less is a breathtakingly shallow and naive perspective. It's insulting as a campaign pitch and makes me believe any politician that uses that is disqualified by being incapable and/or a liar.
