I use a different lens than either party uses to evaluate solutions. We need to discuss efficacy, return on investment, and human rights. We also need to continually evaluate existing laws to make sure they reflect our values and goals. I believe in disagreement with grace.
Our Constitution gives us a framework for that, but it's also not free from evaluation of flaws as we evolve. It is *decidedly* American to continually evaluate our budget, freedoms, and governance.
