So, uh, the dog figured out how to wiggle through the cat door to the basement. This is an issue that will eventually self-resolve, but drama cat was not having it today.

My two Boston Terriers’ absolute favorite toys were a rolled up newspaper in a long tube sock that was knotted above the paper. They would toss them about & play fetch with them for hours. And they had a toy box full of other stuff.
