I honestly and earnestly think it is kinda sad that you think people campaigning for office truly don't care what you think. I know a lot of people feel that way, but I've actually seen evidence to the contrary...*especially* from the Warren campaign.
I haven't had any direct communication with the Warren campaign. I can tell you that on a local level, unless I know a candidate personally, I have had almost zero experiences where a candidate or elected official takes action, or even appears to care at all about my opinion.

In fact, other than hyper-local races, the most common comment I get from people is shock that I respond directly. My own State House Rep has yet to respond to a single email I have sent.

That's truly a bummer. My state rep and senator both personally respond to my emails within days, as does my mayor (of my mid sized suburb, ~60,000 ppl). Sounds like you need better representation! My city councilman truly does suck, though.

The last time I felt like I had decent representation, I was a city official on a commission and that takes us back to the personally knowing the reps.
