I know it’s a public record as to whether a person voted in elections or not. But do records get granular enough to know if they voted in-person or absentee? (In Maine, anyway — would probably vary between states.) At any rate, that shouldn’t be public until *after* an election.
You can pull the list to see whose ballots have been accepted by local election officials.
It's all public information and this kind of reminder, research shows, increases turnout.
I didn't find it creepy tbh but I'm registered Dem so it's a bit different. What I liked more were the stamps they sent for me to return the ballot (& the note on the outside of the envelope that it had stamps so I didn't trash it immediately like usual).
