The similar letters and texts I've been getting in Michigan have at least said "public records" but I'm not sure that makes it any less creepy.

I mean, if I care enough to request absentee, I'll get it in

Ms Bond, with all due respect, if you had ever run a campaign with an actual field operation you'd know that this is public record and it's used for ballot chase calls.

I have been a voter for decades and don't recall ever getting a mailer like this.

There's nothing remotely unusual about this.

It's creepy for a party I am not a member of to send me something telling me they are keeping track of what mechanism I use to vote individually. That is my opinion.

Yup. Whether or not you vote is public record. In Florida (dunno about other states), your FULL HOME ADDRESS becomes public record when you register to vote. Which has turned out to really suck...I'm a teacher who has had angry students break in twice.

There is a difference between whether or not you vote being public record (which is mildly uncomfortable), and whether or not you have requested an absentee ballot for an upcoming election and that is a part of party records for a party you haven't ever joined.
