I didn't watch the debate...can anyone tell me if they covered that Pence is who you want in charge of health issues when the goal is mucking it up so badly that the only remaining course of treatment is prayer?

So far the internet tells me that Pence repeatedly interrupted and spoke over Harris. It is unnecessary for the internet to tell me this surprises no woman, ever, and that having a chaperone present is really redundant for misogynists other than to keep men from interrupting.

Ah,
@secupp with the succinct explanation for why I didn't bother to stay up. 44 years of such shenanigans was sufficient to not develop another sleep-deprivation wrinkle over yet another nonsense-coated man.https://mobile.twitter.com/Acyn/status/1314056301442285568 …Tiffany Bond 🦞 🇺🇸 added,

She may be evolving. I believe Republican women in general are used to being treated a certain way, and don't even realize it.

I think there are a whole lot of Republican women you are underestimating. I think they see a different mechanism to driving the bus, and as it becomes less effective and culturally appropriate...

Thanks, Tiffany, that's a good insight. I was once a Republican woman. Egads, I feel like I'm revealing some dark secret. Looking back, I feel embarressed of it. Glad I woke up.

I mean, I grew up GOP. It was a different world. There were alternative avenues to power and policy goals. Less credit, less criticism, still a ton of control. Those avenues are less well-paved, come with blisters, and are generally less inviting as more paths become available.

It's so true, a completely different world along w/everything you described. I think I relate so well with the ones leaving the party since fleeing can feel a lot like divorcing a family. Sadly, it's now a party that moved too far & seems to have left their moderates floundering.

I'm old enough, I remember being giddy about wedding china. Do kids these days give a flying fiddlehead about wedding china? It's a party tripling down on wanting the wrong decades and blaming everyone who didn't enjoy full rights that those decades are in the rear view mirror.
