I just was informed that an opposing party in one of my cases died yesterday.
With a gun.
Now 3 children don't have a mother.
Avoiding this conversation hurts families directly.

Columbine was "too soon." We had to go through a rinse & repeat cycle of thoughts & prayers in Aurora Fort Hood San Bernardino Virginia Tech Vegas Sandy Hook Elementary Pulse Nightclub Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS All ages, all walks of life. Maybe now we can talk about guns.

I don't mean to be insensitive. I'm sincerely sorry for the children's loss. Is the reason their mother is dead because the weapon was a gun? Or because she was murdered?
