To be fair the MLB receives a tax exempt status and needs oversight. Having said that, I think we have bigger fish to fry right now.

Congress does have their hands full currently, and this does seem like a PR stunt. Though you could argue that professional sports is as big of a part of the economy as any industry and when an industry fails to police itself... the government can step in.
