Too many people today act as if no one can honestly disagree with them. If you have a difference of opinion with them, you are considered to be not merely in error but in sin. You are a racist, a homophobe or whatever the villain of the day happens to be.

And so there is no open and honest discussion of issues. Just screaming talking points and labels at each other. Or worse, violently attacking those with differing views.

Or avoidance of conversations with someone who may have a different opinion. Sad that we can’t learn from one another. I can disagree with one’s opinion without degrading them as a person.
