We set up an emergency fund to provide grants to 1000 disabled people & families as people are sick of worry, not knowing they’ll make it through the autumn. We are now asking government to step in and come up with radical solutions to avert a winter of discontent

I first developed this analysis in Jan & update it with every fresh price cap and forecast - dark purple lines for costs for 2022/23 and 2023/24 have grown every time. We are 36 days from the new cap - and quickly need large pale purple policy solutions for both years to come in.

“Total catastrophe” is right. It’s a case of keep saying it in as many ways as we can. So no apologies, there’ll be yet more to come on this from me! What’s more, mitigating the impact of this on homelessness means *prevention* and long term thinking please
