Come on!!! No one is blaming the 5 million law abiding members, the problem is the law that gives ANYONE the right to buy auto/semi automatic guns. Support legislation to ban the weapons

The most terrifying and disconcerting word among a free people is and always will be the word "ban". It imparts a level of authority to government while denying the same to the governed. We are not lorded, we are not ruled as free agents our destiny and choices are our own.

Like abortion bans? travel bans? Gender equality bans? Marriage equality bans? Bans on liquids in carry on luggage? Bans on operating a vehicle w/out a license or training or insurance? Bans on purchases of OTC cold meds?

Bans on access to birth control? Bans on boarding a plane without removing your shoes? Bans on not fencing in swimming pools? Bans on selling non- flammable children’s pj’s? Bans on call the NRA a variety of descriptors on Public airwaves?

Bans on selling un-pasteurized milk, un inspected foods, baotes without sealed contents? Bans on owning exotic and endangered species? Bans on limiting corporate political contributions? Bans on treating corporations as corporations but as persons?

88,000 people died in 2016 from reasons related to alcohol consumption. 12,265 in alcohol related traffic accidents 4,906 under the age of 14. 40% if all firearm injuries ,accidental or intentional, are also a direct result.

Better question is how is any of this NRA's fault the politicians would still have the same stance on gun control with or without them. Democrats would do nothing because they just want to campaign on it and most Republicans support 2A the rest appease their base

In fact if I remember correctly the NRA proposed a solution to the no fly and terror watch list being linked into database if there was a time frame set to appeal being on the list after Pulse Night Club shooting Dems wanted nothing to do with it

There will never be a ban on guns there will never be gun confiscation well at least in our lifetime both parties know it would start a civil war.

From what it looks like nothing will ever be done if left to lawmakers they gain too much via stump speeches with it unresolved & sadly we can't sit listen and talk calmly without insults or having the I'm right your wrong my way or no way attitude so this will continue to happen

I wish the left's base would take the time to learn about the NRA and what they do before passing judgement instead of blindly believing what the media and democratic lawmakers say about them.

This movement is not about the media or lawmakers....smdh it’s about citizens in this country voicing our opinions and the right to do so without conspiracy theories. The NRA has been a powerful lobbyist for a long time and their influence over politicians has come to an end.

5 million gun owners is a small percentage if the American people. Yet that 5% threatens civil war if we impact l aws to protect everyone.

Your 5 million number represents the approximate number of NRA members. Many millions more own firearms and are not members.
