@TeamYouTube solved almost every false claim that I know about. And they are heavily working to optimize the system to prevent this in the future. It just won’t happen over night.

This problem has gone on for way too long. The livelihood of all these creators are being held at gun point because of

Asked Create about it: YouTube populates the claim information and sends it to the channel owner when the video is claimed by content ID. In that case, it would specify which asset was claimed. 1/2

When the video is claimed manually, the notification sent to the channel owner only specifies which company claimed the video, not which asset was claimed. That's just how the YouTube CMS handles this process at the moment. We're working on this problem. 2/2

So, the creator has to dispute it, and prove their own content belongs to...themselves...and still get claimed...yet the claimant doesn't have to prove... anything?
