Commercial districts are busy! We greet over 300,000 people each day in the HUB. That means we get a lot of wear and tear and constant maintenance is required. Removing tagging and graffiti is just one part of our Clean Team's efforts to create a welcoming district.

Since piloted containerized waste in the late Fall, we have seen a reduction in rodents, a 30% increase in access to sidewalk space, & cleaner streets. Launched on the southside of the District, the program will expand to the north side in February 2023.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. Third Avenue Business Improvement District offices are closed and services suspended on Monday, January 16, 2023. Offices reopen on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. The Third Avenue BID team is participating in a day of service today.

And just like that. The granite bench seating on Roberto Clemente Plaza has been repaired. Seating was removed & reset thanks to our partners The plaza greets 20K ppl each day. That's a lot of foot traffic & wear and tear. TY for your patience during the repair period.

We take trash seriously. does not tolerate illegal dumping, non-compliant business dumping, or trash in general. We work very hard to ensure the streets and public space are clean and welcoming. We need you to be part of that work!

So many of our Bronx businesses were short-changed in the COVID-19 relief grant process. The consequences of this oversight were real: many people lost businesses they had poured years of effort into.
